When did you find out about your condition and when did it really start effecting your daily life?

I first noticed it when I was 10 and within 18 months it went from perfect vision to having the vision of an 85 year old.

What is it about athletics that inspires you?

Just being able to push yourself and see what you’re capable of

What are your favourite memories from athletics in Grimsby?

Well, I made my first GB team whilst I was training in Grimsby and I will never forget that moment. It’s where the story began and when I go home, I love to train at the track.

What do you like to do, or where do you go when you’re back in Grimsby?

Usually I don’t get chance to go back for a long period of time so I just get time to see my family and friends. A good walk along Cleethorpes beach is nice in the summer though!

Would you rather be covered in fur or covered in scales?

No brainer, it has to be fur!

Would you rather be able to control fire or water?

Fire, if anyone ever got on your nerves you could breathe like a dragon and they’d back off!

What’s next on the cards for you?

Commonwealth Games this April.
